Barwalla Kangan residents craving for drinking water

Ganderbal:-The residents of Barwalla village in Kangan hamlet of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district are facing acute shortage of drinking water due to which locals are suffering.

The residents of the area said that they have been facing water shortage since years and authorities are acting as mute spectator.
a local resident said that they have been living here in Bilal colony Barwalla but there is shortage of water from day one.

Another local said that area is facing drinking water shortage since last several years and no attention is being given to look into it.

Locals said that they have brought this issue in notice of concerned authorities in this regard but nothing was done as of now on ground.

They said that in absence of water they are forced to drink the contaminated water of local canal due to which locals often fell ill and water borne diseases can break out any time.

They requested concerned authorities to look into the matter and provide drinking water facility to the area.
