Anantnag : In the run-up to the celebrations of the 76th year of Independence Day and as part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mohaotsav”, The Panchayat Halqa sadiwar Verinag area of south Kashmir Anantnag held a Meri Mati Mera Desh rally in which 400 feet of tricolour hosted.
The rally started in Friday morning from Govt High School Sadiwari verinag .The rally was rally by locals and students as it was unique in style, colourful in appearance and massive in gathering. The students assembled in the chain and hosted the 400 feet of the national tricolour flag to form ’76’, signifying seventy-six years of Independence.19RR, Police and Asha’s workers also participated in the rally event and facilitated the students who sang the national patriotic songs during the rally.
In an interview with The Kashpost, Sarpanch Advocate Farooq Ahmed Ganie said, the rally event is not the idea of a single-person it’s thinking of the whole area including panchayat halqas rural development and 19RR for our brave soldiers who fought for us to get freedom from English men and also said the mothers who had a sacrifice their brave sons for Nation they should be proud and we should respect them.
