Kishtwar, October 22, In a significant breakthrough for the Kishtwar Police, a long-standing manhunt has come to a successful conclusion. The individual, who had eluded arrest for the past 17 years, was apprehended in a determined operation by the Kishtwar Police.
SSP Kishtwar, Sh. Khalil Poswal-JKPS, shared the details, stating that a team of Kishtwar Police developed information about the accused person who had been evading arrest for the last 17 years. The suspect was wanted in case FIR No. 258/2006 of PS Kishtwar.
On this information, a dedicated team led by Insp. Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, SHO PS Kishtwar, accompanied by PSI Imran Khan, under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Dr. Ishan Gupta-JKPS,pursued leads tirelessly and conducted a raid at a suspected location. Ultimately, they successfully arrested the individual from the Jammu district.
The arrested person is identified as Altaf Hussain, son of Feroz Din, residing in Garmal, Doda.
