SRINAGAR: A minor girl drowned in the Singhpora Pattan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday
An official said that Shabnam Jan, daughter of Ghulam Mohammad Qureshi and a resident of Singhpura, aged about 13 years, drowned in the spill channel at Singhpura while taking a bath.
He said that soon after the incident, a rescue operation was started, and efforts are ongoing to retrieve the body.
Meanwhile, the police have taken cognizance of the incident. (KS)
