Arvind Kejriwal, the former Chief Minister of Delhi and national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), spoke at a rally in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, expressing his support for Omar Abdullah. Kejriwal stated that Abdullah is expected to become the Chief Minister of the INDIA alliance, and AAP will fully back him in this role.

During his speech, Kejriwal criticized the central government, claiming it has turned Jammu and Kashmir into a “Half State,” similar to the situation in Delhi. He emphasized the challenges faced by regional leaders under such governance and extended an offer of assistance to Abdullah.

“If Omar Abdullah encounters any challenges in running the government, he can consult me,” Kejriwal said. He highlighted his experience in managing Delhi, suggesting that his insights could help Abdullah navigate the complexities of governance in Jammu and Kashmir.

Kejriwal’s comments underline AAP’s commitment to supporting regional parties and leaders in their efforts to improve governance and address the unique challenges faced by states that have a special status.
