Ganderbal: The long-pending construction of a Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Kullan area of District Ganderbal is set to resume after receiving Administrative Approval, with a sanctioned budget of ₹4 crore 82 lakh. The project had been abandoned for years due to a lack of funds, causing significant inconvenience to the local population.
The approval was secured following a review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister on November 9, 2024, where the issue was raised. The Chief Minister directed concerned officials to address the funding gap, leading to the long-awaited clearance.
The MLA of the area expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and officials from the Health Department for their timely intervention. The PHC Kullan is expected to improve healthcare services in the region and benefit a large number of residents.
Residents have welcomed the development, anticipating better medical facilities in the near future. Construction work is expected to begin soon.
