GANDERBAL: A public servant in the office of the Rural Development Department (RDD) Block Gund, Ganderbal, was arrested for demanding and accepting a bribe.
An official reported that the RDD employee was apprehended for soliciting a bribe of Rs. 10,000 from the complainant in exchange for uploading documents necessary for the release of payments related to a completed project under the MG NREGA Scheme at Kulmohar Qalwat, Ganderbal.
The official added that a trap was successfully laid, and the accused was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe amount of Rs. 3,000 at the RDD office in Block Gund, Ganderbal.
