Ganderbal – RavinderPaul Singh, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Traffic in Rural Kashmir, announced that traffic violations in the area have dropped by an impressive 70 to 80 percent. This success is due to the hard work of the traffic police and awareness campaigns for the public.
While this reduction is a positive sign, Singh stressed the need to tackle the remaining 20 percent of violations to make roads safer for everyone. He assured the public that any traffic rule violations would be taken seriously and that strict actions would be taken against those who break the law.
Singh also appealed to parents not to let their children drive vehicles and warned young riders against doing dangerous stunts on the roads. He said, “Anyone caught performing stunts on bikes or other vehicles will face legal action and fines.”
To support their efforts, Singh mentioned that traffic police are actively checking vehicles for the right documents. Any vehicle without proper paperwork will not be allowed to continue on the road.
