74-Year-Old Kashmiri Man Handwrites Entire Quran in Just 8 Months

Handwara, Kashmir – In a remarkable display of faith and dedication, Mohammad Maqbool Tantray, a 74-year-old retired supervisor, has completed a handwritten manuscript of the Quran in just eight months. The impressive 870-page work stands as a testament to his commitment and devotion to his beliefs.

Tantray dedicated 5 to 8 hours each day to meticulously transcribe the holy text, driven by a long-held desire to undertake this spiritual journey. “I have always wanted to write the Quran,” he shared, highlighting the significance of this endeavor in his life.

In addition to creating the manuscript, Tantray emphasized the importance of regular reading of the Quran, urging others to deepen their understanding of its teachings. “Completing this Quran has filled me with gratitude and pride,” he expressed, reflecting on the fulfillment that came with finishing the project.
