Tehsildar Kangan Issues Orders to Regulate Revenue Offices, Emphasises Online Services.

Kangan:- In order to ensure smooth functioning of revenue offices and transparent delivery of public services, the Office of the Tehsildar Kangan has issued two separate official orders imposing strict regulations on unauthorized interference and unnecessary visits to revenue establishments.
According to the first order, it has been observed that certain Lumberdars and Chowkidars were frequently visiting Patwar Khanas and the Tehsil Office without any official requirement. Such unauthorized presence was found to be obstructing the lawful discharge of duties by revenue officials and causing inconvenience to the general public. In some cases, confidential personal matters of individuals were reportedly being discussed or exposed, which has been termed highly objectionable.
The order clearly states that Lumberdars and Chowkidars have no authority to sit in Patwar Khanas or interfere in official work unless specifically required for official purposes and upon directions of the competent authority. Any act of obstruction or interference in official functioning will be treated as misconduct and violation of law, inviting strict disciplinary and legal action, including suspension or removal as per rules.
In a separate order, the Tehsildar has reiterated that all revenue-related services and certificates are available exclusively through online mode, in accordance with government instructions and under the Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA). Despite repeated advisories, it was noticed that some applicants were still submitting documents through unauthorized persons or intermediaries, leading to delays, misinformation, and procedural complications.
The order further highlights that repeated and unnecessary visits by the public to the Tehsil Office, despite online availability of services, have resulted in confusion and false allegations against officials. Residents of Tehsil Kangan have been strictly advised to avail all services only through the prescribed online platforms and not involve any middlemen.
The Tehsil Administration clarified that all services are being delivered within the timelines prescribed under PSGA, and it shall not be responsible for any delay, loss, or grievance arising from non-compliance with the issued instructions.
The public has been urged to cooperate with the administration to ensure transparent, timely, and hassle-free delivery of services. Any violation of these orders will be viewed seriously and dealt with in accordance with law.
Both the orders have come into force with immediate effect.
