Traffic Update: Jammu–Srinagar NHW Closed Due to Landslides and Shooting Stones
Srinagar: Vehicular movement on the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) has been suspended following landslides, shooting stones, and mudslides reported at multiple locations along the route.
Authorities said that continuous rainfall has triggered the incidents, making the highway unsafe for travel. Restoration work is underway, but movement will remain suspended until the road is cleared and deemed safe.
Meanwhile, the Mughal Road, SSG Road, and Sinthan Top have also been closed due to heavy snow accumulation in higher reaches.
Commuters have been advised to avoid travel on these routes until further notice and follow updates from the Traffic Department for road status.
