The chocolate company 5 star known for its slogan “Eat 5 star, do nothing” launched an ad portraying the life of a present-day corporate worker who is scrounged by his boss for not using AI in today’s age.
The next scene shows the future life where the work is all done by the AI and only needs a confirmation from the operator to complete a task showing that there is no time for eating a 5 star.
They announced in the ad that the company has made a large server room where they are gonna
flood the internet with non-sense answers for the questions and the tasks that are frequently asked
from ai and ai generates approximate and precise answers.
The ad is being circulated all over the social media platforms with a link where you can sign up and
contribute to the server. The idea of the company seems intriguing since the AI learns from the websites and the online data available on the internet. So is their aim to fill the data servers with such answers.
This seems a funny campaign, but the ad portrays the reality of today’s life where the work-life balance of people has been disturbed due to mobile phones, corporate work and long working hours. And in the direction the AI is going seems to worsen the conditions instead of making the world a better place.
The AI that was made to go for scientific research and medical
breakthroughs.
But the AI models are just copying from the online databases answers and articles written by creative intelligent and diligent humans. Moreover, AI is being continuously used in the defense and modern warfare like drones auto guided missiles etc., increasing the vulnerability in world peace and taking thousands of lives in
modern wars.
In conclusion the ad and the contemporary conditions teach us that today’s young generation
should keep working for themselves and accept the changes occurring around us. The AI
companies should try to make the world better rather keeping their AI models relying on the data
that is just being copied.
