Pulwama, (KNT): A civilian was killed after he sustained ‘critical’ injuries when a bullet hit him in Haal village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A police officer said that it was an accidental fire.
Reports said that the bullet hit a civilian after the service rifle of a security personnel went off accidentally.
The victim identified as Asif Ahmed, a resident of Koterwali Shopian was shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and started an investigation into the matter. (KNT)
