Srinagar (KNA): The Jammu and Kashmir Home department on Saturday posted a Muslim woman IPS officer, a resident of Gujarat as Deputy Inspector General of Police Administration in J-K police headquarters.
Ms. Sarah Rizvi IPS (Gujarat 2008), has been given inter- cadre deputation from Gujarat carde to the UT of Jammu and Kashmir with immediate effect.
According to an order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Apex (KNA) Sarah Rizvi has posted as DIG administration at J&K police headquarters.
“In the interest of administration, Sarah Rizvi, IPS (RR: 2008), awaiting orders of posting, is hereby posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Administration), Police Headquarters, J&K, against an available vacancy, with immediate effect,” order reads.
Moreover, Sarah Rizvi was born in Mumbai and brought up and got educated in Mumbai, She is from the 2008 batch of Gujarat cadre—(KNA)
