J&K Bank digital and alternate channels record almost 6 million transactions worth Rs 2510 Cr in last 3 days
Ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr J&K Bank’s digital and alternate channels have recorded around 60 lac transactions in last three days amounting to whooping Rs 2510 Crore till 6 pm on Thursday. A senior bank official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that they feel delighted in having successfully served lakhs of esteemed customers ahead of the Eid as the bank’s digital and alternate channels have successfully processed around 5977257 transactions during last three days. He said bank’s mobile application mPAY processed over 24.87 lakh successful transactions during the these days transacting a whooping amount of Rs 1605 Crores. “ATMs also witnessed huge customer footfall during the period besides sharp spike were observed in purchases through the PoS and eCommetce leading to 13.45 lac transactions witnessing financial trade off upto Rs 548 Cr. On the UPI platform also customers effected 21.41 Lac transactions resulting in exchange of 356 Cr since 18th April” He further said that since they were not able to come up to the expectations of a section of valuable customers on Eid-ul-Fitr due to technical faults, but J&K Bank has successfully updated its system which resulted record number of transactions and withdrawals this Eid with some rare technical issues. Due to huge overload, mPAY service was slow temporarily on some occasions, but overall it worked well and customers were able to Bank’s online services. Meanwhile, customers also hailed the J&K Bank authorities for providing uninterrupted service to its customers on this festive occasion. “Although I was very apprehensive because of last Eid experience, but to my surprise mPAY worked perfectly this time. We should be thankful to J&K Bank for walking its talk this time,” said a banks customer. (KNS)
