“IUST’s Business Fest: Empowering Students with Practical Skills and Entrepreneurial Vision”

Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora J&K,  hosted a vibrant and engaging Business Fest that showcased the entrepreneurial spirit and creativity of its students and alumni. The two event  on the 11th and 12th of June, featured a diverse array of stalls offering a wide range of products, from crafts and dry fruits to unisex clothing and delectable treats.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Mr. Shakil Romshoo, personally review each stall, interacting with the students and alumni to assess their business acumen and marketing skills. This hands-on approach by the university leadership highlighted the importance of practical experience in honing the talents of the future business leaders.

In a conversation with the administration, emphasised the significance of organising such events to provide students with a platform to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world setting. The Business Fest served as a valuable opportunity for students, particularly those from the Business Studies department, to showcase their innovative ideas and entrepreneurial ventures.

One of the standout participants, Suhaib, set up a candy cloud stall at the fest and expressed gratitude for the university’s support in fostering practical skills and nurturing hidden talents. He lauded the event for creating a conducive environment that encouraged students to explore their creativity and business potential.

The Business Fest at Islamic University of Science and Technology not only promoted entrepreneurship and innovation but also underscored the institution’s commitment to equipping its students with the necessary skills to succeed in the competitive business landscape. The event was a testament to the university’s dedication to holistic education and experiential learning.
