Kupwara, July, 15, : Syed Uzma, a resident of Kupwara in North Kashmir, has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first woman from Kashmir to attend the Global Shapers Annual Summit in Geneva, Switzerland. Serving as the Impact Officer for her hub, Uzma’s participation underscores a remarkable achievement for the region.
The summit, organized by the World Economic Forum, took place from July 10th to 12th, 2024. It gathered young leaders from over 150 countries to discuss pressing global issues and develop strategies for a better future. Uzma’s active engagement at the summit enabled her to share her vision and learn from other international changemakers, benefiting her initiatives in Kashmir.
Uzma’s achievement has been celebrated by the Srinagar Global Shapers Hub. “We are immensely proud of Syed Uzma’s accomplishment,” said one of her colleagues. “Her commitment to social change and her leadership skills were crucial in her selection for this esteemed event.
