The District Magistrate Ganderbal, through an official order under endorsement No: ADM/GBL/PS/2024/973-976 dated December 17, 2024, has appointed the Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Ganderbal as the Enquiry Officer to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of Umaan Akbar, son of Mohd Akbar Ganie, a resident of Safapora.
The enquiry aims to ascertain the facts and conditions leading to the tragic incident and submit a detailed report within one week. The investigation will be conducted at the Court Room of the Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ganderbal.
In an official notice, individuals with information regarding the incident, or those willing to provide oral evidence or submit relevant documents, have been requested to appear before the Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ganderbal by or before December 23, 2024, during office hours.
No submissions or requests will be entertained after the given deadline.
The enquiry highlights the district administration’s commitment to ensuring justice and addressing public concerns surrounding the incident. Further updates will be shared as the investigation progresses.
