Kupwara: The District Administration Kupwara, in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Tourism, organized a spectacular Winter Carnival at Kariwan Diver in the scenic Lolab Valley.
The event was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, along with District Development Council Chairman, Irfan Sultan Pandithpori, and other dignitaries. Thousands of attendees from across the region gathered to experience the vibrant celebration.
The carnival showcased Kupwara’s rich cultural heritage through traditional crafts, authentic cuisine, and local exhibits. Recreational activities and a weapon display by the army, aimed at inspiring youth to join security forces, were among the highlights.
DC Ayushi Sudan emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting tourism and community spirit, while DDC Chairman Irfan Sultan praised the collaborative efforts to position Kupwara as a key tourist destination.
This event not only celebrated the breathtaking beauty of Lolab Valley but also contributed to boosting tourism and economic activities, cementing the region’s reputation as a hub of cultural and scenic treasures. TKP- News
