GANDERBAL, JANUARY 16: A one-day workshop for surveyors involved in the Awaas Plus 2.0 survey under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) was conducted today in the Mini Secretariat Ganderbal. The event was chaired by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shyambir.
The workshop focused on training surveyors in using the Awaas Plus mobile application for accurate and efficient data collection. The training ensures smooth and proper registration of eligible beneficiaries under the scheme.
Speaking at the event, the DDC highlighted the role of PMAY-G 2.0 in improving rural housing and living conditions. He urged survey teams to ensure no eligible beneficiary is left out and instructed them to strictly follow the scheme’s guidelines.
The workshop, organized by the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, provided hands-on training and technical guidance. Surveyors from Gram Panchayats were trained by master trainers, who demonstrated Aadhaar-based authentication, survey procedures, and the use of the online registration portal.
Additional District Commissioner Ganderbal also addressed the participants, explaining the purpose and benefits of PMAY-G 2.0. A live demo of the mobile app was presented to familiarize surveyors with its features.
The session concluded with a Q&A segment, where trainers addressed participants’ queries. Senior officers, including Chief Planning Officer and BDOs, were also present to support the initiative.
The Awaas Plus 2.0 survey aims to ensure affordable housing for rural families, and this training marks a significant step toward achieving that goal. The administration emphasized the importance of transparent and error-free implementation of the survey.
