Shah Fayaz Emerges as the Most Influential Trade Union Leader of J&K: JKSWM Survey

Srinagar, In a groundbreaking survey conducted by Jammu & Kashmir Students Welfare Mission (JKSWM), it has been revealed that Shah Fayaz, a renowned young trade union leader from Kangan, Ganderbal, has emerged as the most influential and familiar leader among employees across Jammu & Kashmir.


The survey, which was conducted across all districts and various departments, highlighted that Shah Fayaz enjoys immense faith and popularity among employees and the general public alike. The 36-year-old leader has not only been vocal in advocating for the rights of employees but has also actively contributed to social welfare initiatives, inspiring the youth of J&K through his commitment to community service.


The report emphasized that Shah Fayaz’s leadership extends beyond trade union activities. His dynamic engagement in social causes has deeply resonated with employees and youth, making him a symbol of dedication and resilience. From fighting for employee rights to addressing key societal issues, his leadership has brought a positive impact on multiple fronts.

In 2023, he was honoured for his remarkable contributions to society, particularly for his work in drug abuse prevention, blood donation camps, sanitation drives, tree plantation campaigns, and SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) programs under an initiative of the Election Commission of India.
JKSWM’s survey found that Shah Fayaz is particularly admired by the *young employees’ fraternity in J&K. His vocal stance on workplace rights, wages, and ethical concerns has given new strength to employees, especially those in temporary, contractual, and underprivileged sectors. His ability to engage with people at the grassroots level has strengthened his position as a leader who truly understands the struggles of the workforce.

As per the report, his approachability, dedication, and leadership skills, have made him an inspirational figure, not only for government employees but also for the broader youth of J&K, who look up to him as a beacon of hope and change.
JKSWM, a non-profit organization actively working in the education, environment, health, women empowerment, children, community development and other social welfare sectors, running a Drug De-Addiction and Rehabilitation Centre, Four Senior Citizens Homes in four different districts of J&K, SAKHI One Stop Centre Bandipora and other social causes, has been conducting regular surveys and research to recognize individuals making a significant impact on society. The organization believes that leaders like Shah Fayaz are essential for driving positive change and ensuring that the voices of employees and marginalized sections are heard and addressed.

With his steadfast commitment and people-first approach, Shah Fayaz continues to shape the future of trade unionism in J&K, setting a benchmark for ethical and progressive leadership in the region.
