Overcoming setbacks, financial struggles, and self-doubt, the Ganderbal student proves that resilience and hard work can turn dreams into reality.
Hilal Ahmad Shah, a resident of Babawayil in Ganderbal, has achieved an outstanding 98.02 percentile in the JEE Mains examination.
The results were declared on Tuesday, marking a significant milestone in his academic journey. Unlike many of his peers who attended coaching institutes or offline classes, Hilal relied solely on online learning to prepare for one of India’s toughest entrance exams. His journey was not without challenges; he had previously failed his Class 12 exams, and his first attempt at JEE Mains did not yield success.
However, his unwavering determination and hard work paid off in his second attempt. Hilal expressed his gratitude to his family and mentors for their support.
Alongside his studies, he also repaired electronic items to support himself financially. While speaking to “The KashPost,” Hilal said, “Failing my Class 12 exams was a setback, but it fueled my determination to prove myself. I dedicated myself to studying online, focusing on my weaknesses and improving step by step. Scoring 98.02 percentile is a dream come true.”
His story serves as an inspiration for students facing academic challenges, proving that failure is not the end but a stepping stone to success. With this impressive score, Hilal now sets his sights on JEE Advanced.
As his success resonates across Ganderbal, Hilal’s journey is a testament to resilience, self-belief, and the power of hard work.
