Tragic Collision Near Gund Kangan: 4 Dead, 17 Injured in Devastating Road Accident

CM Omar Abdullah and MLA Kangan Mehar Ali Express Condolences Over Fatal Gund Kangan Accident, Assure Full Support to Affected Families.


Srinagar, March 23 A fatal road accident near Gund Kangan in Ganderbal district on Sunday claimed the lives of four individuals, including three tourists, while 17 others were left injured when a Toyota Etios collided with a bus.

According to officials, the accident occurred when the Toyota Etios (registration number MP04TB 1999) collided with a bus (registration number JK03 6078) near the Gund Kangan area. The impact resulted in the death of four people and injuries to 17 others, All the injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for the treatment wherefrom eight among them were reffered to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment

The deceased have been identified as Leshia Ashish Pari, Nikki Ashish Pari, and Hetal Ashish Pari, all residents of Maharashtra, and Faheem Ahmad Badyari, a local from Soitang Srinagar.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed his condolences, stating, “I am deeply saddened by the tragic accident near Gund, Kangan, which has claimed multiple lives and left many others injured. My heartfelt condolences to the grieving families. I am praying for the swift recovery of the injured, and authorities are ensuring all possible assistance.”

MLA Kangan, Mehar Ali, also extended his condolences and reassured that the authorities are providing all necessary support to the affected families and injured individuals.
