Kangan, April 23: In the wake of the horrifying terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of nearly 27 innocent tourists and left many more injured, deep sorrow and outrage have swept across Jammu and Kashmir.
Tasmeena Adil, DDC Kangan, and Mian Mehar Ali, MLA Kangan, have strongly condemned the attack, expressing profound grief over the senseless loss of lives. In a joint statement, they said, “They haven’t just killed these people — they’ve killed all of humanity. This barbaric act sends a clear message to the world: terrorism has no religion.”
The leaders urged the Government of India to take swift and decisive action against those responsible for the heinous act. “Justice must not only be done, it must be seen to be done. The souls of the departed and the pain of the injured demand it,” they said.
In response to the tragedy, Union Home Minister Amit Shah convened a high-level security meeting in Kashmir, joined by top security officials, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, and UT Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. The meeting focused on reviewing the security situation and strategizing stronger measures to prevent such attacks in the future.
As families mourn and prayers echo across the valley, the leaders reiterated the need for unity and resilience. “This is a time for all of us — regardless of religion, region, or ideology — to stand together against the forces that seek to divide and destroy,” Adil added.
The Pahalgam attack is not just a regional tragedy — it is a national wound. And in the face of such darkness, the call for peace, justice, and humanity has never been louder.
