Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Kangan, Mian Meher Ali, today convened a high-level meeting with senior officials of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department to review the status of ongoing and proposed water supply schemes in the constituency
The meeting was attended by the Chief Engineer PHE Kashmir, Superintending Engineer (SE) PHE Srinagar/Ganderbal , Executive Engineer PHE Ganderbal, and Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs) of the concerned subdivisions.
During the meeting, the Hon’ble MLA took a detailed review of ongoing works under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), restoration of damaged water supply lines, augmentation of drinking water schemes in rural areas, and progress on the installation of filtration plants and reservoirs.
MLA Mian Meher Ali, impressed upon the department to expedite the works and ensure timely completion of all projects to provide uninterrupted potable water supply to the people of Kangan. He also emphasized the need to address public grievances on priority and directed field officers to remain available and responsive.
The Chief Engineer assured the Hon’ble MLA that necessary measures will be taken to overcome bottlenecks and improve service delivery in the region.
The meeting reflects the Hon’ble MLA’s continuous efforts to ensure essential services reach every corner of his constituency efficiently and equitably.
