Anantnag : In line with the Fit India Movement, an initiative of the Government of India, the IRP 10th Battalion organized a special cycling event titled “Sundays on Cycle” at its Headquarters, APC Mattan, Anantnag. The event, held on Sunday, aimed to promote physical fitness, eco-friendly transportation, and the campaign slogan “Fitness Ki Dose, Aadha Ghanta Roz.”
The program was led by Sh. Fahad Tak, JKPS, Dy. Commandant, IRP 10th Battalion, who emphasized the importance of incorporating regular exercise into daily routines for better health and well-being. The cycling rally saw enthusiastic participation from officers, officials, and local community members, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere.
Starting from the Battalion Headquarters at APC Mattan, the rally passed through Kehribal village, covering a distance of over 5 kilometers before concluding back at the headquarters. Participants rode with great zeal, demonstrating commitment to fitness, discipline, and environmental responsibility.
Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Fahad Tak highlighted that such initiatives not only promote a healthy lifestyle among police personnel but also inspire the local population to adopt sustainable and fitness-oriented habits. He reiterated the need for daily physical activity, reflecting the Fit India Movement’s vision of a healthier nation.
The event successfully conveyed the message of health awareness and environmental consciousness, reinforcing the idea that “A healthy police force leads to a healthy society.” The IRP 10th Battalion plans to continue organizing similar activities in the future.
