The Kashmiri Pandit community in South Kashmir marked Ganesh Chaturthi with great devotion and enthusiasm, showcasing a vibrant display of faith, festivity, and togetherness. The celebrations, held at the Kashmiri Pandit Colony in Vessu, were organized by the Vessu Welfare Committee and concluded today after five days of traditional rituals and prayers.
The festival drew wide participation from the Pandit community as well as active support from the local administration and members of the Muslim community, turning the event into a symbol of unity and brotherhood. Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Sh. Athar Ameen Khan, joined the community on Sunday, offering prayers, extending warm greetings, and facilitating the arrangements for the smooth conduct of the festival. His presence was widely appreciated by the participants.
The leadership of the Vessu Welfare Committee expressed heartfelt gratitude to Bhau Saheb Rangari Trust Pune and philanthropist Sh. Punit Balan for their generous support in making the event successful. They also acknowledged the cooperation of the district administration and local Muslim residents who extended their assistance and solidarity throughout the festivities.
