Second Terrorist Killed in Kulgam Encounter, Operation Continues

Kulgam: One more terrorist has been killed in the ongoing encounter in the Guddar forest area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, taking the toll to two, officials said.

The encounter began after security forces launched a joint operation in the area based on specific intelligence inputs. When suspicious movement was noticed and the militants were challenged, they opened fire, triggering a fierce exchange of gunfire.

Earlier, one terrorist was killed and a Junior Commissioned Officer of the Army sustained injuries. The injured soldier has been evacuated for medical treatment.

Confirming the development, Chinar Corps said on X that a second terrorist has been eliminated while the operation remains underway.
