Bus Service from Anantnag to Pahalgam Inaugurated by MLA Altaf Kaloo
Pahalgam:A new bus service connecting Anantnag town with the world-famous tourist destination Pahalgam was inaugurated today by MLA Pahalgam, Mohammad Altaf Kaloo.
Speaking on the occasion, Kaloo said the initiative is aimed at easing travel for both locals and tourists by providing reliable and affordable transport between the two important destinations. “This service will not only benefit local commuters but also help tourists who visit Pahalgam throughout the year,” he said.
Local residents expressed gratitude for the launch, saying the service would save them time and money. Many also hoped that such initiatives would improve connectivity and boost tourism in the area.
Officials of the transport department added that the buses will operate on a daily schedule, ensuring smooth travel facilities for passengers.
The Anantnag–Pahalgam route is one of the busiest in South Kashmir, serving as the main link to the scenic valley known for its natural beauty and as the starting point of the annual Amarnath Yatra.
