Tulmulla Residents Demand Full-Time TehsildarPublic Faces Hardships Due to Administrative Vacuum

Residents of Tulmulla and adjoining areas in Ganderbal district have expressed strong resentment over the absence of a full-time Tehsildar at Tulmulla since 2023, causing significant inconvenience to the public.

Locals,civil society members and activists said that the delay in appointment of a permanent Tehsildar has severely affected the routine administrative work, including revenue-related matters, issuance of legal documents, and resolution of land disputes.

While Talking to “The Kashmir Script” social activist Manzoor Wani said, People have been suffering for the last two years as there is no full-time Tehsildar posted in Tulmulla. Residents are forced to travel to lar tehsil or wait for days to get their work done, which wastes both time and money.

“Bilal Bhat, Campaigner, Social Reformer cum Motivational Speaker, also emphasized the need for a permanent Tehsildar at Tullamulla to ease public sufferings.” He added that we urge Government of J&K to fulfill this long pending demand because Tehsil Tullamulla is situated several villages and people always came for their daily issues for their instant resolution.

Locals have appealed to the district administration and J&K (UT) chief minister to immediately appoint a full-time Tehsildar at Tulmulla block to ease the public suffering
