Horticulture Minister Javad Dar Visits Ramban to Review Road and Transportation Issues
Ramban: Minister for Horticulture, Mr. Javad Dar, today visited Ramban to review critical issues concerning the movement of fruit-laden trucks and the condition of roads along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
The Minister was accompanied by Hon’ble MLAs — Mr. Sajad Shaheen (Banihal), Mr. Majeed Larmi (West), and Mr. Riyaz Khan (East). During the visit, the delegation held a high-level meeting with Deputy Commissioner Ramban and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban to address concerns raised by local fruit growers and transporters.
The review focused on ensuring smooth and timely transportation of perishable horticulture produce, particularly apples and other fruits, which are currently being harvested and transported across the region. The Minister emphasized the need for coordinated efforts between district administration, traffic police, and transport authorities to avoid unnecessary delays and ensure swift movement of fruit trucks
