Comprehensive Inspections Conducted Across District

In a significant move to crack down on the misuse of SIM cards and to ensure strict adherence to verification norms, *Ganderbal Police* conducted surprise raids at various *SIM card vendor outlets* across the district.The operation was carried out under the directions of *SSP Ganderbal, Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal–JKPS,* with the objective of verifying the authenticity of SIM issuance and preventing the circulation of fake or fraudulently obtained SIM cards that could potentially be misused for unlawful activities.During the inspections, police teams thoroughly scrutinized customer verification records, sale registers, and other documentation maintained by the vendors in the Jurisdiction of P/S Ganderbal, P/S Kheerbawani, P/S Safapora, , P/S Lar, P/S Gund and PP Shadipora. The drive also aimed to ensure strict compliance with guidelines and procedures by all service providers and their retailers.Vendors found violating norms or failing to maintain proper verification records have been warned of strict legal action under relevant laws.
