Labourer Injured After Vehicle Hits Him Inside Z-Morh Tunnel in Ganderbal
A labourer was injured on Saturday after being hit by a vehicle inside the Z-Morh Tunnel in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, officials said.
According to officials, the injured worker has been identified as Irfan Ahmad Raina, son of Ghulam Rasool and a resident of Gagangeer. He was carrying out routine cleaning and maintenance work inside the under-construction tunnel when a Tata Mobile vehicle (JK03K-5847) entered the stretch and struck him.
Co-workers and tunnel staff immediately evacuated him from the spot and shifted him to SKIMS Soura for treatment. Hospital sources said he is undergoing medical care, though details regarding the severity of his injuries were not immediately available.
