J&K Govt Collected Nearly ₹49 Crore as Application Fees from Job Aspirants in Two Years

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday informed the Legislative Assembly that it has collected nearly ₹49 crore in application fees from unemployed youth over the past two years through recruitment bodies.

Replying to a question raised by Pulwama MLA Waheed ur Rehman Para, the government said that a total of ₹48.88 crore was generated as application fees by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) and the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) during 2023-24 and 2024-25.

According to the details shared with the House, ₹14.48 crore was collected in 2023-24, of which ₹7.39 crore came from JKPSC and ₹7.09 crore from JKSSB. In 2024-25, JKPSC generated over ₹10 crore in application fees, while JKSSB collected more than ₹23 crore from job aspirants.

The government further stated that JKSSB advertised around 10,400 posts over the past two years, while JKPSC issued advertisements for approximately 1,750 posts during the same period.
