SRINAGAR: Two teenagers were killed and two others injured after lightning struck them at Gawran Nard in the Larnoo area of Kokernag in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday.
Quoting officials, news agency GNS reported that the incident occurred at Gawran Nard in Larnoo tehsil.
The deceased were identified as Faizan Ahmad, 18, son of Mohd Yaqoob Chard, a resident of Gawran, and Bilal Ahmad Battan, 16, son of Nazir Ahmad, a resident of Redwani Gawran.
The injured were identified as Sajad Ahmad Battana, 15, son of Sai Battana, and Shareef Ahmad Battana, son of Jumma, both residents of Redwani Gawran.South Asians & Diaspora
All four were shifted to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Larnoo for immediate medical treatment.
Police and local officials have taken cognisance of the incident. Further details are awaited
