J&K Police arrest OGW from South Kashmir linked to Op Mahadev militants
Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested Mohammad Yousuf Kataria, a key Lashkar-e-Taiba (TRF) operative accused of providing logistical support to terrorists involved in the killing of 26 people.
Police said the arrest was made after detailed analysis of weapons and other materials recovered during Operation Mahadev, which confirmed Kataria’s role in aiding and facilitating the movement of militants. Officials described the development as a major breakthrough against the terror ecosystem in south Kashmir.
Further investigation is underway to identify Kataria’s associates and dismantle the broader network linked with LeT (TRF). Police reiterated their commitment to intensifying operations to weaken terror modules and ensure peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
