Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde virtually addressed the gathering as Ministers Sanjay Shirsat and Yogesh Ramdas Kadam inaugurated a newly constructed house for the family of Syed Aadil Hussain Shah, who lost his life on April 22, 2025, while bravely saving tourists during the Pahalgam attack.

The house was provided by Shiv Sena as a tribute to Aadil Shah’s sacrifice. Locals and party workers gathered in large numbers to pay homage and extend support to the bereaved family.

Addressing the event virtually, Shinde recalled visiting Pahalgam soon after the attack along with party members. He said he personally met the family of the brave civilian and learned about their lack of proper housing. “At that time, I had assured the family that a house would be built within one year,” he said, adding that the house has now been completed.

He hailed Aadil Shah as a true hero who laid down his life to save others and assured that the family would continue to receive support in the future.

The initiative has been widely appreciated by locals, who termed it a meaningful gesture in recognition of Aadil Shah’s sacrifice.
