Srinagar: The Government College for Women, Nawa Kadal, Srinagar, has issued a directive prohibiting the use of mobile phones and social media activity within campus and warned of immediate suspension for violations.
In a notice dated April 22, the college administration barred students from using mobile phones on campus, recording reels or videos, and uploading any content on social media from within the premises. The order states that any breach will invite disciplinary action, including suspension without prior notice.
The notice also prohibits students from placing or receiving online orders, including food and parcels, inside the college.
Students have been instructed to keep their phones on silent mode and stored in their bags during class hours.
The administration said the measures are aimed at maintaining discipline, decorum and ensuring the smooth functioning of the institution.
