Kulgam: The District Administration has sealed Four Laboratories after not having proper technical staff, besides sealing as they had failed to show requisite documents.
On Wednesday the Investigative journalist team had a sting operation, In which One lab technician used to write before the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) when we also tested and in the report, the BMLT was changed to Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) then we asked her why you mentioned now this “ She said I had a call that you are a journalist” To continuing our sting operation we reached another private laboratory she used to take sample but a sudden call from outside make her aware the patients are Journalists and she said here this test is not available and after investigating she haven’t even any Diploma course for such profession.
On Thursday the District Administration along with the Medical team and Drug inspector of Kulgam started a deep checking in concern to the labs in which they found no requisite documentation and sealed Four private Laboratories and also checked some Medical shops Three are temporarily closed for further investigation.
In a statement with the Medical Team and Lab experts said the Public should be aware of day-to-day fraud and should be knowledgeable about whether the labs are real or fake also quoted from now onwards we will be checking per week the private medical sector.
