Ganderbal / Aijaz baba
Under the IEC (Mainstreaming) Training Programme, the J&K AIDS Control Society, in collaboration with Mission Poshan, J&K, organized an Awareness cum Training Programme on HIV/AIDS, the HIV/AIDS Act, 2017, and Drug De-addiction for Supervisors and Anganwadi Workers of Poshan Ganderbal.
The event was held at the Auditorium of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Ganderbal, and was inaugurated by Ms. Bureeda Majid, District Programme Officer, ICDS Projects Srinagar/Ganderbal/Pulwama. In her welcome address, she emphasized the importance of grassroots awareness and the vital role of Anganwadi Workers in spreading accurate information on HIV/AIDS and drug addiction across communities.

The speakers delivered informative sessions on HIV/AIDS transmission and treatment, legal rights and protections under the HIV/AIDS Act, 2017, and the rising concern of substance abuse and available de-addiction services.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. Jahangir Bakshi, Project Director, J&K AIDS Control Society, with the active support of Ms. Bureeda Majid, District Programme Officer, Poshan Ganderbal.
The training witnessed active participation and served as a vital platform to strengthen the knowledge and community outreach capabilities of frontline ICDS workers.
