District Police Srinagar (Hazratbal Zone) Conducts Powerful Anti-Drug Seminar at Zadibal School

District Police Srinagar successfully conducted a Drug De-addiction Seminar at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Zadibal under the Civic Action Programme 2025–2026. The students of Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Zadibal as well as Govt. Boys Higher Secondary Zadibal participated in the seminar. It was aimed at generating awareness among students and the local community about the ill effects of drug abuse and to encourage youth to lead a healthy and productive life away from the menace of narcotics.
During the programme, experts and officers emphasized the physical, psychological, and social consequences of drug addiction and highlighted the importance of collective community efforts in curbing this growing problem. Besides lectures, students also participated in interactive sessions to reinforce their commitment to stay away from drugs and performed a Nukad Natak.
Addressing the gathering, Superintendent of Police Hazratbal expressed gratitude to the school administration, staff, and students for their wholehearted participation in the initiative. He emphasized the need for sustained community engagement to eradicate the menace of drug abuse and appreciated the collective efforts made by all stakeholders. Necessary cash prizes, certificates, mementos, and refreshments were distributed on the spot among the students and other assisting officers/officials.
In his vote of thanks, the Superintendent of Police Hazratbal reiterated the Police Department’s commitment to organizing similar awareness programmes in the future also to protect young minds from the dangers of addiction and to promote a drug-free society.
