BARAMULLA POLICE ORGANISES ANTI-DRUG BIKE RALLY; YOUTH JOIN CAMPAIGN FOR A DRUG-FREE SOCIETY

In a continued effort to strengthen the fight against drug abuse under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, Baramulla Police Under the aegis of Police Station Pattan today organized a spirited Anti-Drug Awareness Bike Rally from Palhallan Pattan to Goushbugh Pattan, spreading a strong message against substance abuse and promoting the vision of a healthy, drug-free society.

The rally, held under the theme “Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life,” witnessed enthusiastic participation from police personnel, local youth, and members of the community, reflecting a collective commitment to eradicate the growing menace of drug addiction from society. Participants carried placards and raised slogans emphasizing the importance of awareness, prevention, and community responsibility in tackling drug abuse.

The event was conducted under the supervision of SDPO Pattan Shri Raja Majid, along with SHO Pattan Mr. Mudasir Ahmad and other officers of Sub-Division Pattan. Addressing the participants, officers highlighted the devastating social, psychological, and economic consequences of drug addiction and urged young people to stay away from narcotics and instead focus on education, sports, and constructive activities that shape a brighter future.

The rally passed through key areas, drawing significant public attention and appreciation. Local residents welcomed the initiative and expressed support for such awareness drives, acknowledging the urgent need for collective action against the drug menace, especially among the youth.

Baramulla Police reiterated its unwavering commitment to safeguarding society from the dangers of drugs through sustained awareness campaigns, community engagement, and strict action against those involved in drug trafficking and substance abuse.The programme concluded peacefully and successfully, leaving behind a powerful message of hope, responsibility, and social unity.
