Anantnag :Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anantnag, Shri Amod Ashok Nagpure (IPS), on Wednesday chaired a high-level meeting at the District Police Office (DPO) Anantnag to review and finalize security and logistical arrangements for the upcoming Sanjay 2026 Yatra.
The meeting was attended by SP Headquarters Anantnag, Shri Sunny Gupta-IPS, SP North Camp Aishmuqam Shri Rameez Raja, DySP Headquarters Anantnag, DySP , all SDPOs, SHOs, and DOs of the district.. Detailed discussions were held on key aspects including security deployment, traffic regulation, crowd management, and inter-departmental coordination to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the Yatra.
During the meeting, SSP Nagpure stressed the need for robust security measures and seamless coordination among all stakeholders. He directed officers to remain alert and ensure proper deployment of personnel at all critical points. Emphasis was also laid on strengthening communication systems to effectively respond to any unforeseen situations.
Highlighting the importance of pilgrim safety and सुविधा, the SSP instructed officers to prioritize facilitation measures and provide necessary assistance to devotees throughout the Yatra period. He also called for regular field inspections, identification of vulnerable locations, and implementation of proactive strategies to mitigate potential risks.
Officers were further advised to maintain strict vigil and ensure that all arrangements are in place well ahead of the commencement of the Yatra. Coordination with line departments, including health, transport, and disaster management agencies, was also reviewed to ensure a comprehensive preparedness plan.
The meeting concluded with a thorough assessment of the overall preparedness, with all officers reaffirming their commitment to ensure the peaceful, secure, and successful conduct of the Sanjay 2026 Yatra.
