Mian Meher Ali called on Manoj Sinha at Lok Bhawan and submitted a memorandum seeking the reopening of Naranag for tourism activities.
During the meeting, the MLA highlighted the hardships being faced by the local population, whose livelihood largely depends on tourism, trekking, pilgrimage, and other related activities in the Naranag area.
The Lieutenant Governor assured sympathetic consideration of the demand and stated that a decision regarding the reopening of Naranag would be taken soon, keeping in view the concerns and economic dependence of the local residents on tourism-related activities.
