Multi-Faith Delegation of Indian Minorities Federation Pays Tribute to Pahalgam Attack Victims, Calls for Unity and Peace

Pahalgam: In a powerful display of unity and interfaith harmony, a multi-faith delegation of the Indian Minorities Federation (IMF), led by its Convener and Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu, paid floral tributes at the Baisaran Martyrs’ Memorial in Pahalgam to honor the victims of the recent terror attack. The solemn ceremony brought together leaders from Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, and Christian communities, along with Bollywood personalities Preeti Sapru and Mukesh Rishi, and IMF Co-Founder Prof. Himani Sood.
The delegation offered prayers for peace, harmony, and the nation’s progress while condemning the cowardly terror attack aimed at dividing communities. Expressing solidarity, MP Satnam Singh Sandhu said, “Under PM Modi’s leadership, Sardar Patel’s vision of ‘One Country, One Flag, One Constitution’ has been realized with the abrogation of Article 370. India today stands united and strong, giving a befitting reply to terrorism through Operation Sindoor.”
The IMF delegation also honored the parents of Syed Adil Hussain Shah, the brave pony-wala who sacrificed his life while saving tourists during the attack. His father, Saeed Haider Shah, said, “Adil saw no religion he gave his life for humanity. Thousands of Adils are ready to protect our nation.”
A Unity March, held on the eve of National Unity Day, saw enthusiastic participation as delegates and locals carried a 200-metre-long Indian flag through Pahalgam, symbolizing resilience and brotherhood. Kashmiri women tied Raksha Sutras on the wrists of Army and CRPF personnel, calling them the “protectors of the nation,” and hailed the government’s commitment to women’s empowerment after the abrogation of Article 370.
Bollywood actor Mukesh Rishi urged citizens to stand together against terror, saying, “No power can break India’s unity. Kashmir is safe and welcoming for all.” Actor Preeti Sapru echoed the sentiment, lauding PM Modi’s leadership for transforming Kashmir “from terrorism to tourism.”
Members of the Christian community also affirmed that peace and coexistence have flourished in Kashmir since 2019, making it safe for all faiths. The event concluded with a collective pledge by all participants to uphold peace, brotherhood, and the unity of the nation.
